Just Pawing About was established in June 2017 by Connor, originally as dog walking service.​ Now fully focused on dog training and home visits, Connor brings a calm, knowledgeable, and practical approach to helping dogs and their owners build better bonds.

 

With a strong background in companion animal care and experience working with more exotic species like Lemurs and Red Pandas. Fully accredited IMDT Dog Trainer & Level 1 Reactivity Coach (The Dog Trainer School) & continuing to further knowledge to provide the best support for you & your dog's.

While his beloved Cockapoo, Marla (as pictured to the right), used to accompany him on walks, the focus at Just Pawing About is now on delivering tailored training sessions and in-home support, giving dogs the structure, confidence, and care they need to thrive.

Whether you're working through behavioural challenges or just want to give your dog the best start in life, Just Pawing About offers friendly, professional guidance you can trust.

Our Aim is to provide support & make your training as fun & manageable as possible using positive, reward based training. Whether it's tailored 1-1's to you & your dog or our structured training classes, you'll receive as much support to set you & your dog up for success.

Puppy Classes

Give your puppy the best start! 
All classes are run by Connor, a fully accredited IMDT Dog Trainer, using only kind, reward-based training methods.

After each class you'll also receive helpful handouts including step-by-step guides of the exercises taught to assist with on-going training at home.
Ideal for puppies aged 6 months and under who are fully vaccinated.

Price - £100 for the 5-Week Course

Venues: Belvoir - Monday or Friday Evenings, Comber - Saturday Afternoon, Boucher - Sunday Morning

Back to Basics Classes

All classes are led by Connor, an Accredited IMDT Dog Trainer, using reward-based, force-free training methods.
About the Class:
Our Back to Basics course is perfect for owners who may have missed puppy classes, are navigating adolescent behaviour, have recently rehomed a rescue, or simply want to refresh their dog’s training. The course is completely tailored to those that are in attendance of the class, you'll also receive helpful handouts with step-by-step guides of every exercise covered.
Suitable for dogs aged 7 months and over.

Price - £80 for the 4-Week Course

Venue: Belvoir - Monday or Friday Evening, Comber - Saturday Afternoon

1-1 Loose Lead Course

The 1-1 Loose Lead Course is a 3-Week course (3 sessions in total) & takes place on fixed dates/times & location, normally taking place in Belvoir Forest. During this Course, we'll be building on the foundation works for your loose lead walking training, working on changing your dog's reaction to distractions, as well as your main loose lead exercise, in order to make your & your dog's walks more pleasurable. You'll also receive handouts via email which include step-by-step guides of the exercises.

The total cost for this course is £125 with booking & dates available on the website (£40 saving compared to our 3 session package!). Limited availability due to the One on One aspect of the course. 

*Note - Additional session maybe needed, especially for reactivity cases*

1-1 Dog Training

Our 1-1's are completely tailored towards you & your dog's needs. Whether you are needing help with the Basics, Loose Lead Walking, Recall, Jumping Up, Reactivity, etc. You'll receive a tailored sessions to give you the best chances of success using reward-based training methods & management.


These prices include meeting at your home or an agreed location, follow-up report breaking down everything covered in our session, ongoing WhatsApp support.

1-1 Puppy Course

The 1-1 puppy course is ideal for those puppies or owners who prefer to work 1 on 1 with a trainer rather than in a class setting. This course has been designed to best help you & your puppy to succeed in your training with handouts and guidance sent to assist your progress. The 1-1 Puppy Course is a package of 5 sessions which are each an hour long. For Puppies under 6 months at the start of the course.

Training Walks

Our Training Walks are tailored to assist with your & your dogs continuing training, these are solo walks where your dog goes out with a trainer. Prior to the walk, we'll discuss the area's you want assistance with & you'll receive feedback on the walk with any tweaks to the exercises. This service is only offered to dog's which have had a 1-1 or been on a class with us.
